Home blood testFull blood screen

A health check before your wedding

A wedding is a natural point to check where you stand. One blood draw at home gives you a full picture, months before the day, while there's still time to act on it.

    What you’ll learn
Why this is a good time to testWhat the screen checks, and when a consultation fits betterHow the home draw works, with results in 48 hours

    Why test now

Most people plan the dress, the suit and the training months ahead and never look at their bloods. A screen early on tells you if something like low iron or low vitamin D is worth fixing before the busiest stretch of your year.

It's also a good baseline for married life. You'll have one set of numbers to compare against in a year or two, and so will your partner if you both book.

    • You're starting a diet or training plan for the wedding
    • Wedding planning has left you tired or run down
    • You haven't had a blood test in a while
    • You and your partner want to start married life knowing where you both stand

    What the screen checks

Energy. Iron, ferritin, vitamin D, active B12 and a full blood count. These are often low in busy, stressed adults and can make you feel flat.

Hormones and thyroid. TSH, FT3 and FT4 for everyone, testosterone on the male profile and prolactin on the female profile, plus DHEAS.

Stress. Cortisol, measured from the same morning sample as everything else.

Metabolic health. Fasting glucose, HbA1c, insulin and a lipid profile. Useful if you're planning a diet or training block before the wedding.

    How to prepare

    • Book three to six months before the wedding, so there's time to act on anything that comes back low.
    • Fast overnight with water only and book a morning draw, ideally before 10am.
    • Stop biotin supplements for 2-3 days beforehand, as they can distort thyroid results.
    • If you're both testing, book a screen each.

    The screen or a consultation

Book the screen if you want to know where you stand

The screen measures. You get 122 parameters and a consultant who explains them, with no obligation to do anything next.

Start with a consultation if you have a goal and a date

If you want a program to get you somewhere by the wedding, like losing weight or sleeping better, start with a consultation. Your consultant will usually recommend the screen as part of it.

The consultation is AED 350, credited against your program if one is agreed within 30 days.

    How the home test works

Baseline’s full blood screen covers 122 parameters across ten systems from one home draw, for AED 850, with results in 48 hours.

    • Nurse comes to you. A licensed phlebotomist visits your home or office, 7 days a week, anywhere in the UAE.
    • Accredited lab. Samples are processed by a CAP-accredited laboratory (College of American Pathologists), also accredited to ISO 15189, against clinical reference ranges.
    • Reviewed with you. Results land in your account in Baseline format, and your consultant walks you through them on video, never a PDF dumped in your inbox.

    Questions

Is this the same as the UAE premarital screening?
No. The premarital screening some couples need before marriage is done at government health centres and is separate. Baseline's screen is a general health check and does not replace it.
    When should we book it?
Three to six months before the wedding is a good window. It leaves time to recheck anything that came back out of range.
Can my partner and I test together?
Yes. Book one screen each. Each of you gets your own results and your own review.
    Does the screen test fertility?
No. It is not a fertility test. It includes a sex-specific hormone and the thyroid, but not the hormones used to assess fertility.

Reading is not a diagnosis. A consultation goes through your history with you and tells you plainly whether a program fits, including when it does not. AED 350, credited in full against your first order.
