    GHK-Cu

Copper tripeptide, collagen signalling for skin

A copper peptide protocol for skin quality and collagen signalling, matched to your skin’s biology, tracked photographically.

    The evidence−60%

Plasma GHK falls by roughly 60% between age 20 and 60, the decline tracks visibly with skin ageing. Restoring it supports collagen signalling and repair; your consultant will be direct about what is and isn’t established. Full reference →

    Candidacy

    Who this is for

Adults with skin-quality, texture, or ageing concerns, where peptide therapy will genuinely help. Candidacy is decided against your skin history and photographs, never by a checkout flow.

Often appropriateLoss of firmness or texture despite a solid topical routinePost-procedure recovery, microneedling, laser, peelsThinning, fragile, or slow-healing skin
Not appropriateActive skin malignancy or undiagnosed lesions, investigate firstPregnancy or breastfeedingCopper metabolism disorders such as Wilson’s disease
Repair, quietlySkin rebuilds on its own schedule. This signals it to start.
    The program

    How the program works

    Day 0Video consultation

Your consultant goes through your goals, history, and whether this therapy is appropriate. If it isn't, you'll hear that instead.

Week 1Baseline photos & first dose

Baseline photography and skin assessment. Your protocol ships once your program is agreed.

    Weeks 2-12Daily protocol & check-ins

Topical daily, injectable where the protocol includes it. Photo review at week 6, messaging in between.

    Week 12Full review

Photographs compared against baseline. Together you decide: continue, adjust, or maintain with topicals alone.

IncludedNo prices on this site by design. Your program is quoted in full after your consultation, before anything is supplied.

    Questions

    Common questions

Texture and hydration often shift within weeks; firmness is slower, because collagen remodelling runs on months. Progress is compared photographically at weeks 6 and 12 rather than promised.

    The science

    A tripeptide that carries copper

    Copper transport

GHK binds Cu(II) with high affinity (logK around 16.4) and shuttles the bound copper across cellular membranes. In vitro studies have used this transport activity to deliver copper to fibroblast and keratinocyte cultures where copper-dependent enzymes can act on it.

    Gene expression

A review by Pickart and Margolina (Int J Mol Sci, 2018;19(7):1987) summarises bioinformatic analyses reporting that GHK and the copper complex modulate expression of several thousand human genes across pathways relevant to wound repair, DNA repair, and antioxidant defence.

    Matrix remodelling

Published in vitro studies have documented effects on fibroblast collagen synthesis, glycosaminoglycan production, and matrix metalloproteinase activity. Researchers use GHK-Cu as a tool for probing extracellular matrix biology in three-dimensional culture models.

    Antioxidant activity

In vitro studies have observed copper-dependent superoxide dismutase activity in GHK-Cu-treated cell cultures. The copper binding geometry is thought to mimic the active site of native SOD enzymes, providing a useful research tool for oxidative stress models.

GHK Cu is also searched as GHK copper, Copper tripeptide-1, GHKCu.
